Shoulder of Mutton
Located in Fordham on the banks of the river Colne,
The Shoulder of Mutton Centre is family owned and operated, Jonathan and Jaci Neill along with their children Amy and Sam have always had a love and passion for antiques, vintage and collectibles.
They also have a love for old buildings, artefacts and enjoy a project. So it seemed a natural progression when a local 700 year old disused pub, that had been empty for a number of years became available.
It was purchased with plans to bring it back to life, the building had a leaky roof, hidden staircases and flooded cellar, all of this has now been transformed into a thriving antique and collectible centre with a licensed vintage tea room serving breakfast, lunch and vintage afternoon teas.
It has a large garden that is safe for children with a play area, it has a courtyard with seating, river views and dogs are welcome in the Antique centre, Courtyard, Garden and Barn.
All of this and its right on the doorstep of the Essex way. Making it an ideal location to come and have lunch or an afternoon tea by the river while browsing for a hidden treasure in the old pub cellar.
