Open 10am to 5.30pm. Closed during the winter. Bekonscot Model Village and Railway is the world's oldest and original model village. With over 80 years of history, huge model railway, 1.5 acres of well kept gardens and finely detailed model buildings Bekonscot is a great day out for everyone. There is a playground (next to the picnic areas), a super 7.25" gauge ride-on railway, elevated walkway and model self-drive boats.

For a First Class family day out, look no further than a Steaming Day at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre. Have a steam train ride with a real steam locomotive, enjoy a trip on our ride-on miniature railway, visit our magnificent Railway Museum, learn about the Travelling Post Office, watch the model trains and enjoy our stunning Visitor Centre with café, shop and vintage locomotive and carriages.

The birthplace of the de Havilland DH98 Mosquito and also the oldest aircraft museum in the UK. Opening times: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays 10:30am - 5pm (last entry to museum 4pm)-get up close and into most of our aircraft exhibits. Open now until 10th November when it closes for winter until February.

Enjoy a ride on our fantastic miniature railway at Van Hage, Great Amwell, operated by the East Herts Miniature Railway Society. This fantastic, 7¼" gauge railway completes two circuits of beautifully landscaped gardens and includes a trip over a pond and through a tunnel!

The Oldest Miniature Railway located on the grounds of a Public House, The Fancott Miniature Railway (FMR) is a 7¼ inch miniature railway located in the gardens of The Fancott Public House near Toddington, Bedfordshire. There has been a railways on the grounds of The Fancott Pub for over 30 years in one form or another.

Debate the future, test your flying skills, be amazed by stories of bravery, love and loss. Catch up with friends in our café and restaurant. Families will love our themed outdoor play area. We're open daily from 10.00am. Entry is free. Parking £4.50 for 0-3 hours or £6 for 3-6 hours.

The pleasant journey takes you around the lake at Ruislip Lido, with the line weaving its way through the ancient Ruislip Woods. There are two main stations on the line where passengers can start and finish their journey. Woody Bay station is beside the beach & children's splash pad, and it is the oldest terminus on the line. The other station is Willow Lawn station, located next to the car park and nearby the 'Waters Edge' pub & carvery. At Willow Lawn station, passengers can observe the locomotive being turned on the turntable, before the train heads back to Woody Bay.
