Bourne End Village Hall
Bourne End Village Hall is situated on London Road, Bourne End ( A4251) on the north side just before reaching The Watermill Hotel and The White Horse. It is just over a quarter of a mile from the Bourne End exit of the A41 bypass and is almost in the centre of the village.
This beautiful brick built, exposed beam, wooden floored Hall is set in its own grounds with parking places for 21 vehicles. There are small lawns, a patio, planters and the surrounds of trees and vegetation complete the external picture with gated entrance and exits. Disabled access via ramps with a slight door lip is available, together with a disabled toilet.
The Hall was built in 1926 by public subscription and in 1994 ,with the assistance of Dacorum Borough Council, was extended, modernised, and provided with up to date heating, convenience and kitchen facilities.
With the ability to divide off the rear of the Hall with sound proofed doors, we can cater for a wide range of activities including weddings, parties, dancing, keep fit, ballet, dog training, meetings, children's activities and dining.
We are a charity, number 1049597. The Hall is run by Management Committee Trustees who are voluntary.
The Hall consists of one large hall or a medium-size plus small hall created with movable, soundproofed sliding doors. Dimensions of the hall space alone are 17.9metres by 6.1 metres.
The space can be used for up to 110 people at a sit-down banquet or 150 with seating and small tables for a party or dancing. In cinema-style seating about 200 can be accommodated.
The Hall is wooden-floored, wainscotted in dark wood, brick painted walls, and dark roof beams. The high ceiling is finished in painted planking, and insulated and tiled above.
Lighting internally can be segregated as can external lighting.
Ladies, gentlemen's and disabled toilets are provided.
