Berkhamsted Drum Lessons is run by professional drummer and drum teacher, Adam. He has been teaching drums since graduating from Leeds College of Music in 2008. As well as teaching privately, Adam teaches at local schools.
As a working drummer/multi-instrumentalist, Adam has a unique perspective as a teacher and values an approach that engages all aspects of being a musician beyond just learning about the instrument; live performance, song learning, improvising and understanding the drummers role within any musical situation.
No two students learn the same way. Adam's approach is entirely dependent on the student and he has been known to rip up a lesson plan and go off-script if a student comes in with something new that has inspired them!
Offering lessons to people of all ages, however under 7's may require an initial assessment to make sure they are old enough to manage what is quite a physically demanding instrument.
