What is Messy Church?
Messy Church is church for adults and children to enjoy together. Families often come together but everyone is welcome, whatever your age! Messy Church involves mess, fun, friendship, craft, celebration and food!
When and where is it?
Messy Church is on the first Saturday of every month (except August) at Sunnyside Church from 3.30pm-5.30pm.
What happens at Messy Church?
Everyone arrives and registers around 3.30pm. There will be a variety of crafts and games to suit all ages and tastes set up around the church (all based around a theme). There will be someone at each area to chat with you as we all enjoy the activities and mess together. We also have a crèche area as a space for our very youngest children and parents/carers to relax in. At about 4.30pm we all gather (adults, children and team together) for our interactive and creative celebration which might involve story, songs, games, prayer and much much more. The celebration is based around our theme for the day. Our fabulous home cooked meal together rounds off the afternoon.
