Guides, scouts & uniformed groups

Groups and Units are open to both boys and girls. Beaver Scouts are aged 6 - 8. Cub Scouts are aged 8 - 10.5. Scouts are aged 10.5 to 14. Explorer Scouts are aged 14 - 18.

Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers. Yes, we go camping, hiking, canoeing, sailing and cycling. But we also get to hang out with our friends every week - having fun, playing games, working in a team and taking on new challenges.

Potten End Scouts Troop is divided into three sections. Each section caters for a different age group.

Ages 6-8
Beaver Scouts is for our youngest members. They range in age from 6 to 8 but don't let their age fool you! They have fun by trying new things like camping.

We parade on a Monday Wednesday from 1900 to 2130hrs. We are open to children aged from 12 (Year 8) to 18 yrs of age who are from Berkhamsted and the surrounding areas. Come along and give it a go!

Rainbows are aged 5 to 7, Brownies 7 to 10, Guides 10 to 14 and Rangers for those aged 14 to 18. Badgers
Anyone aged 5 to 10 years old can join a Badger Sett - after school clubs which operate throughout England. At Badgers it's all about fun, adventure and learning first aid.

Cadets
