Bancroft Recreation Ground has been providing a place of relaxation and leisure for Hitchin's residents since before the Second World War. The park houses many specimen trees, shrubs and flower beds, and also supports a bowling club, tennis club and during the summer months, a popular Splash Pad.

We are an award-winning, family-run business offering canoe, kayak, and SUP hire on the picturesque River Great Ouse. We have a beautiful riverside woodland for paddle and camping trips, a whole host of land-based activities for corporate groups though to stag parties, hen do and youth provision. We also run a wide range of training courses for canoeing, kayaking, and stand up paddle boarding.
