North Hertfordshire Museum
North Hertfordshire Museum has four galleries: the Discovering North Hertfordshire Gallery, which deals with the history of the district from geological times to the present day; changing exhibitions in the Exhibition Gallery; the Living in North Hertfordshire Gallery tells the story of how people's lives have changed over thousands of years; the Terrace Gallery includes displays of the football collection, objects from all around the world, items from our art collections and animations of local folklore tales; the Terrace Gallery also includes regularly changing art exhibitions in the Arches Gallery.
The museum has its own café, which serves a variety of light refreshments that include vegetarian and vegan options.
During the school holidays (including half term), we run a variety of activities for children. Some are free, some require a small payment and some need to be booked in advance. See our website and Facebook pages for more information.
